The project involves the renovation of an old farm building in the center of Bled into a modern residential house with three tourist apartments, while preserving the character of the local architecture and cultural heritage.
We preserved the building down to its load-bearing structure, removed an inappropriate addition, and designed a new roof with an extension. The architecture complies with the requirements of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.
The house is divided into a tourist section and a residential section. The tourist entrance is on the south side with outdoor parking; the ground floor features a reception desk, the first floor has two apartments, and the third is in the attic with a covered balcony.
The residential entrance is on the east side, featuring living areas, a bedroom with a bathroom, a sauna, and a private terrace. Upstairs are two children’s rooms and a bathroom.
A separate entrance leads to the utility room, hidden behind a wooden wall, in keeping with the traditional architecture.
The renovation combines heritage preservation, sustainable renovation, and the development of tourist apartments in Bled.
